My first job as a journalist on work experience was writing a colour piece and a 'Court Report' column for The Independent newspaper over Wimbledon. It lead to a long career as a freelance journalist writing features, interviews and analysis for magazines ranging from Ace Tennis magazine to teen title JUMP, the Guardian to TV trade publications, Broadcast, TBI and
World Screen News.
While on staff at Broadcast magazine, I was section editor overseeing the comment and profile pages as well as writing analysis and interviews. I was also editor of Broadcast's regular supplement, Broadcast International.
After leaving, I have worked on its ITV, C4 and UKTV anniversary supplements. I have also edited the BBC's Wimbledon magazine.
My theatre and restaurant reviews have appeared in London newspapers such as the Ham & High and local papers in the Guardian Group in North London. I have written opinion pieces while on staff at Broadcast Magazine and have blogged for the BBC’s Writers’ Room from the Children’s Media Conference in Sheffield. I also have a blog.
